The project also involved fitting a new kitchen, tiling, exterior finishing and installing a stove and velux windows. We had an extension built onto the back of our house incorporating a kitchen and living/dining area. J. Driscoll Construction did all the work from start to finish - the extension itself, the kitchen fitting, flooring, tiling, windows, electrics and the exterior work.
We had got quotes from a number of builders but J. Driscoll Construction stood out for us because of their enthusiasm for the project and the ideas that they had.
Yes we knew what we wanted for the extension but we had no formal plans drawn up.
Yes, definitely. Jamie brought the whole thing together for us and helped us decide on many aspects of the project. I would describe him as someone who has vision and goes the extra mile for his clients.
Absolutely exemplary. The whole project was a very good experience for us. It was scheduled to take eight weeks and it was completed on time. The team turned up on time every day and often stayed late to finish off work. Jamie has amazing attention to detail and takes his time. The guys cleaned up every evening and kept dust to a minimum. In fact we were able to continue living in the house with two small children while the work was being done. It was nice to be here to see it all happen.
My favourite part is the kitchen. I also love the fact that he put effort into making the exterior look well when viewed from inside. The pebble dashing, the roof tiling and all the little details he thought of are great.
The biggest benefit was the fact that Jamie is so approachable and honest in his dealings. He always gave his genuine opinion on our suggestions and he was happy to discuss alternatives and make changes.

This project of a 150 year old property involved the extensive renovation of a period house fitting 2 bedroomswith walk in wardrobes and ensuites. In addition, a library/book roomand large sitting room were added as well. A new 3 story extension was added to the rear of the property consisting of kitchen/dining/utility rooms and two more bedrooms.
